Jimmy Choo sold to Labelux

The shoe company has been acquired for about £500 million, though an exact figure has not been disclosed. Current owners TowerBrook Capital Partners were weighing up the option of an IPO on the Hong Kong stock exchange, but have instead gone with the Austria-based luxury goods group Labelux, who have also invested in brands such as Bally and Derek Lam. Co-founder Tamara Mellon retains her 17% stake in the brand (which has an estimated worth of £85 million) intends to remain as creative director and face of the company.
